Rajasthan the ‘Land of kings’ is the largest state of India. It is situated in the western part of the country. The state is also the home of the ‘Great Indian Desert’ or the Thar Desert. Rajasthan is a tourist’s paradise in spite of its inhospitable and barren terrain and is one of the most colourful places you can ever come across. With its sand dunes, forts, temples, fairs and festivals and tribal lifestyle, Rajasthan can keep you mesmerised till the end of your tour.

Day 1
Arrive In New Delhi

Arrive at the New Delhi International Airport. Our representative will be waiting outside the customs enclosure to assist you to the hotel where you will stay overnight.

Day 2
In New Delhi

New Delhi is the capital city of India. Delhi has a colourful history and since the Mughal period (17th century) till the British period (1947) served as the capital city of India. In 1649 Mughal emperor Shah Jahan built Shahjahanabad which today is known as Old Delhi. The day will start with a tour of the Old Delhi. Visit the Red Fort built by Emperor Shahajahan in 1638. Next admire the great domes of Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India and Rajghat, Mahatma Gandhi’s memorial. Later take a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, the oldest market in Delhi and enjoy the Delhi street food. In the afternoon explore New Delhi, starting with Humayun’s tomb, the mausoleum of Emperor Humayun with typical Mughal architecture. Another place of interest is the Qutub Minar, the tallest brick minaret in the world built in 1206 by Qutab-Ud - Din-Aibak. Later drive past the secretarial offices, the Parliament house and India Gate- the war memorial. Next visit the Connaught Place in central Delhi, a sprawling market place remarkable for its architecture and historical significance. Enjoy the overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3
New Delhi - Agra

After breakfast start your journey towards Agra by car. It is situated in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Agra has a rich history and has three UNESCO world heritage sites- Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri.  On the way to Agra stop at Sikandra, Emperor Akbar’s grave. Reach Agra and check into the Hotel. Later visit Taj Mahal, one of the ‘seven wonders of the world’. It was built by emperor Shahajahan (1632-1652) in memory of his wife Mumtazmahal. The perfectly sculptured structure out of white marble never fails to impress the visitors. It is closed on Fridays. Later visit the Agra Fort a massive red stone fort sprawled over 94 acres. Agra Fort is known for its massive gates. Come back to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 4
Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur

After breakfast start the journey towards Jaipur stopping en-route to visit Fatehpur Sikri. This city, 37 Km from Agra is built predominantly with red stones. It was built by Emperor Akbar in memory of Sufi saint Salim Chisti. This magnificent city has 11Km long fortification, interspersed with numerous gates. The city was abandoned by the emperor after 15 years due to scarcity of water. After arriving in the late evening you will check into the hotel. You may take an orientation tour of the Jaipur city or relax. You will stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 5
In Jaipur

Jaipur is the capital city of Rajasthan. It is also popularly known as the ‘Pink City’ because of the pink walled buildings of the old city. Visit the Amber Fort set on a hill top its magnificence enhanced by number of breath taking palaces, gardens and temples with elaborate mirror work adding to the grandeur. The next visit will be to the astronomical observatory, Jantar Mantar. This was built by Maharaja Jai Singh II in 1727.The last destination for the day will be Hawa Mahal, the palace of winds built in 1799. This palace is an architectural wonder designed to trap cool wind inside the palace. This is also built with pink stones. Later you can choose to walk around in the colourful markets of Jaipur. Return back to the hotel for the night.

Day 6
Jaipur - Bikaner

Drive down to Bikaner from Jaipur. Once you reach check into the hotel and then proceed to explore the Junagarh Fort. Bikaner was established in 1488 by Rao Bika Ji. Exploring the Junagarh fort, you will see a blend of Mughal, Rajput and Gujrati architecture. This fort was built by Raja Rai Singh in 1593. Return to the hotel in the evening for the overnight stay.

Day 7
Bikaner - Jaisalmer

Proceed to the city of Jaisalmer by road. The city of Jaisalmer will weave its magic around you as soon as you reach here. It is a fortified city made of yellow sandstones with palaces and havelis within it. Reach Jaisalmer in the late evening and check in. You can have a relaxed evening in the hotel and enjoy the night stay.

Day 8
In Jaisalmer

After breakfast start your day with a visit to the grand Jaisalmer Fort. This was built in 1156 by Raja Jaisal. It gets its magical look because it is built with golden and yellow sandstone. Take a tour of Nathmal-Ji-Ki-Haveli. This structure is built of yellow sandstone and bears a rich architectural splendour of the ancient times. Proceed to Patwon-Ke-Haveli which is a five storied construction with long corridors and walls which are intricately decorated with Rajput designs and art forms. In the evening you can walk to the Khuri sand dunes to watch the sunset. Return back to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 9
Jaisalmer - Jodhpur

After breakfast start with the onward journey to Jodhpur by car. Reach the city of Jodhpur by afternoon and check in the hotel. The past glory of the city is personified by its forts, palaces and other monuments. Set out to visit the most magnificent fort in Jodhpur, the Mehrangarh Fort. Constructed in 1459 by Rao Jodha, it sits atop a 150m high hill. Next move on to Jaswant Thada a royal cenotaph made of white marble. Some rare portraits of the former rulers are displayed here. Come back to the hotel in the evening for relaxation and night stay.

Day 10
Jodhpur - Ranakpur - Udaipur

The morning would be dedicated to the surface journey to Udaipur. Stop en-route to visit Jain temples at Ranakpur. It was built during the reign of Rana Kumbha in 1439. The main temple is dedicated to first tirthankara, Adinath. The four faced temple with intricate carving on the stone walls is absolutely breathtaking. These are the most important holy Jain temples in India. Arrive late evening in Udaipur and check in to stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 11
In Udaipur

Post breakfast; proceed on a half city tour in Udaipur. The city of Udaipur has some picturesque lakes, gardens, temples and forts which are examples of striking architectural grandeur. Set out on a city tour starting with the ancient temple of Eklingji, a Shiva temple, remarkable for its pyramid style roof and distinctly carved towers and Nagda temple of 646 AD. The afternoon is devoted to the city tour. Visit the City Palace with its remarkable collection of ancient curios, antiques, sculptures and inscriptions.  Next visit the Crystal Museum holding rare glittering crystal objects to feast your eyes upon. To relax take a stroll in Saheliyon Ki Bari, a sprawling garden with lush green lawns, marble art and fountains. Another ancient temple that you will visit is the Jagat temple built in 961 a.d. Return back to the hotel for a relaxed evening and night. 

Day 12
Udaipur - New Delhi

In the morning get transferred to the airport in time to catch the flight back to Delhi. Upon reaching you will be received by our representative and escorted to the airport hotel where you can relax in the lobby till evening. You can also take this opportunity to do some last minute shopping from Delhi. Later in the evening get transferred to the international terminal to catch the flight for the onward journey.

Day 13
Leave New Delhi

Board the flight from New Delhi International Airport for homeward journey.
