Day 1
Arrive New Delhi

Arrive in New Delhi International Airport and you would be greeted by our representative, who would escort you to your hotel. Enjoy the overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2
Delhi Sightseeing

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, proceed to explore New and Old Delhi. Visit the Red Fort, Asia’s largest mosque Jama Masjid and Mahatma Gandhi’s memorial, Rajghat. Later, relish a rickshaw ride through the streets of Old Delhi at Chandni Chowk, where you can shop and taste city’s local cuisine. In the afternoon visit New Delhi’s historical monuments like Humayun’s Tomb (Commissioned in 1569) and Qutb Minar, a 73 meter tall minar which was constructed in 1192. Drive past the secretarial offices, Parliament. Visit the war memorial, India Gate and explore Connaught Place, the city center. Enjoy overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3
New Delhi - Varanasi

After the breakfast you will be driven to the airport to take the flight to Varanasi, one of the oldest living cities in the world. Upon arrival at Varanasi airport our representative will escort you to your hotel. En-route you can visit Sarnath, the place where Gautum Buddha first taught Dharma. Also, visit the Sarnath Museum which hold some of the finest specimen of Buddhist art. Later check-in to the hotel and proceed towards the Ghats for Arti. Experience the soul stirring Ganga Aarti, performed daily on the banks of the Ganges. Enjoy a comfortable night stay at the hotel.

Day 4
Varanasi - Bodh Gaya

Early morning you will be taken to the Ghats of river Ganga where you will board a boat. You can enjoy the serenity while sailing. Watch thousands of devotees take a dip in the holy water. Later return to the hotel for breakfast. After a sumptuous breakfast start towards a drive to Bodh Gaya. It takes about 4 hours to drive to this city, which is one of the most sacred places for the Buddhist as well as Hindus. Here, under the Bodhi tree (Tree of awakening), Shakyamuni Gautama attained supreme knowledge. Arrive early evening and check in at the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 5
Bodh Gaya - Rajgir - Nalanda - Patna

In the morning check out from Bodh Gaya and drive towards Patna. Visit The Mahabodhi Temple (1500 years old) at Bodh Gaya. The temple houses different aspects of Buddha and the Bodhi Tree marks a location where Buddha attained enlightenment. On the way to Patna visit Rajgir, a place sacred to both religions Buddism and Jainism. Surrounded by 5 holy hills where Gautama Buddha had spent several months preaching and meditating. Located about 20 mins from Rajgir visit Nalanda where once was, one of the greatest, ancient center of Buddhist learning. Later continue the drive to Patna. Arrive at the destination check-in at your hotel and spend the evening at leisure and overnight stay.

Day 6
Patna - Vaishali - Kushinagar

After breakfast checkout from the hotel and drive towards Kushinagar. En-route to Kushinagar visit Vaishali, which hosted the second greatest Buddhist council. Arrive late in the evening at Khushinagar and check-in to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 7
Kushinagar - Lumbini

After the breakfast, we drive to explore Kushinagar. Known for its cultural heritage across the world it is one of the four holiest places for Buddhists, where Lord Buddha served his last sermon (543 BC). Later check-out from the hotel and drive towards Lumbini. It is another Buddhist pilgrimage site and birthplace of Gautam Buddha (623 BC). You can also see the ruins of a pillar erected by Emperor Ashoka in 21st century. Reach Lumbini and have a comfortable stay at the hotel.

Day 8
Lumbini - Kapilavastu - Sravasti

In the morning we check-out from Lumbini and drive towards Kapilavastu. It is an ancient city where Lord Buddha was raised and lived until he renounced worldly life. Continuing the journey we drive towards Sravasti. This ancient city is one of the 6 largest cities in India. You can explore the ruins of ancient architecture. Countries like Thailand, Sri Lanka, China and others have constructed Buddhist monasteries here. Check-in at the hotel late evening and relax with an overnight stay.

Day 9
Sravasti to Lucknow to Delhi

Early morning you will visit the ancient city of Sravasti, venerated by Buddhists Sravasti and Jains alike, is at present, a collection of ruins called Sahet-Mahet. This twin name is applied to distinct groups of remains. Sahet is the site of the famous Buddhist Monastery anciently known as Jetavana Vihara after prince Jeta's donation to the Sangha, which lay outside the limits of the ancient city. The latter is identified with modern Mahet. The ruins at Sahet consist of Plinths and foundation of Monasteries and stupas, all Buddhist. Continue on your drive to Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh to board the train to New Delhi. On arrival at New Delhi station either you can stay overnight or take flight back home.
