Day 1
New Delhi - Amritsar

Arrive at the New Delhi International Airport. Our representative will be waiting outside the customs enclosure to assist you to the car which will drive you to Amritsar, the city of Golden Temple. Upon reaching check into a hotel and proceed to visit this famous Sikh Temple. It is also known as Harmandir Sahib and is the holiest shrine for Sikhs. This is also a popular tourist spot. The area around the temple is well maintained with a holy lake surrounding. The peace and spirituality felt within the complex is simply awe-inspiring. The architecture of the temple is beautiful with its golden dome that gives it the name of Golden Temple. The temple is a home to the ‘Guru Granth Sahib’, the holy scripture of Sikhism.  It is mandatory to wear dresses covering your body and also have your head covered. After visiting the temple return back to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2
In Amritsar

This day will be devoted to local sightseeing. After a hearty breakfast start the day with a visit to Jallianwala Bagh. This is a public garden with immense historical importance in Indian history. This garden has a narrow approach and is surrounded by walls on all sides. In 1919 there was a meeting taking place within this garden area where thousands of men, women and children congregated. British Army started firing on this crowd with an order from General Dyer. Unable to flee many died in the firing and a lot of them including children jumped into a well.  The portion of the wall bearing bullet marks is preserved and a memorial is built in memory of the victims. Next visit Durgiana Temple devoted to Goddess Durga built in 16th century. In the evening visit Wagah Border, the road border separating India and Pakistan. There is a formal flag lowering ceremony that takes place every evening performed by Pakistani Rangers and Border Security Force of India since 1959. The show is spectacular and will keep you glued to your seats till the end. It starts at 4pm every evening. Come back to the hotel for the overnight stay. 

Day 3
Amritsar - New Delhi

Check out of the hotel in the morning and start your drive back to New Delhi.
